Bag Boy and CaddyTek do not say which number is length, width or height. Clicgear labels them in its spec table. “Under” in a weight is a ceiling, not a measured figure.

Trunk fitWill it fit your trunk?
Measure the trunk first: the depth from the back edge to the seats, the width between the wheel wells, and the height under the lid. Then take the largest of the three folded numbers on the cart you are looking at. That is the side that has to fit somewhere in your trunk.
Shape matters as much as the biggest number. The Bag Boy Slimfold is 32.25 inches long but only 8.5 inches wide, so it needs one long clear side. The PowaKaddy TwinLine 5 is 750mm high, 425mm wide and 400mm deep, which is a more even box.
Using itHow to use this chart
Find the cart by name and read its folded size across. Write your trunk measurements in the same unit first. If the cart is in millimetres and your tape is in inches, convert your trunk, not the cart, and leave a little room to spare.
For two carts that fold to a similar box, weight is the tiebreaker, since you lift the cart in and out of the car every round. If budget matters too, see push carts under $200.
Watch forCommon mix-ups
The order of the numbers changes. Clicgear labels length, width and height in its spec table and prints them in a different order in its feature list. PowaKaddy lists height, width, depth. Bag Boy and CaddyTek print three numbers with no labels. Do not assume the first number is the long side.
Units differ. PowaKaddy and Stewart use millimetres and kilograms. The others use inches and pounds. Do not put a 750 next to a 24.
A missing size is not a small size. Where a maker publishes no folded size, the chart says so. Do not guess from a photo.
The cart is not the whole load. The folded size describes the cart. A bag strapped on adds to the space it takes up.
FAQQuick answers
Which push cart folds the smallest?
It depends which side of your trunk is the tight one, because the numbers describe a box. Of the carts listed in inches, the Bag Boy Compact 3 has the shortest longest side at 21.5 inches. The Bag Boy Slimfold is the thinnest at 8.5 inches but the longest at 32.25. PowaKaddy lists in millimetres, so compare those carts separately.
How much does a push cart weigh?
The carts listed in pounds run from 13.5 lbs (Bag Boy Compact 3) to 22 lbs (Clicgear Model 8.0+). PowaKaddy lists approx. 6.8kg to approx. 7.5kg. The Stewart Q Follow, a remote electric cart, is listed at 31lbs plus a 6.6lbs battery.
Does Sun Mountain publish a folded size?
Not on the Speed Cart X or PX4 pages. Both list weight and wheel count and nothing about folded size, so you would need to measure one in a store or ask the maker.
Why do two numbers for the same cart disagree?
Clicgear prints the Model 4.5 folded height as 23 inches in its spec table and 24 inches in its feature list, and its Model 8.0+ appears in two different orders. When a maker prints two versions, plan for the larger one.
Is a 4-wheel cart bigger when folded than a 3-wheel one?
Not always. The 4-wheel Bag Boy Quad Pro is listed at 24 x 17 x 15 inches and the 3-wheel Compact 3 at 21.5 x 13 x 18, so there the 4-wheel is bigger. But the 4-wheel CaddyTek ONE V8 is listed at 17 x 14.2 x 26.4 and the 3-wheel CaddyLite EZ V8 at 14.4 x 8.5 x 28.4, so there the 3-wheel has the longer side. See the 3 wheel vs 4 wheel guide for how they handle.
Does the folded size include the bag?
The sizes in the chart are listed for the cart. None of the pages gives a size with a bag attached, so leave extra room if you plan to fold the cart with the bag on.
