Petite Golf Clubs for Women: The Sets Sold an Inch Shorter, and a Height Check
Most women's sets come in one length. Here are the complete sets that are actually sold in petite, what "petite" means at each maker, and a quick check of whether you need it.
Petite women's clubs are about one inch shorter than standard women's clubs, and Wilson's size guide puts petite at 4′11″ to 5′3″. Only a few complete sets are sold that way. On the makers' own sites in late October 2026 they were the Cobra Women's Fly-XL ($999), Tour Edge's TE-200 Lady Edge ($599.99, or $449.99 as a half set), Tour Edge's TE-300 Moda ($799.99) and the Wilson Women's Profile ($549.99 on sale, but its petite version showed as sold out). Popular sets such as Callaway's Women's Strata come in standard women's length only.

Petite golf clubs for ladies solve one problem: a club that is too long for you. A standard women's 7-iron is already about an inch shorter than a men's, but if you are around 5′3″ or under, even that can leave you standing too upright, choking down or hitting the ground behind the ball. A petite set takes about another inch off every club.
The catch is that few sets are made that way. Most women's complete sets, including some of the best known, are sold in a single women's length. So the first step is to check whether you need petite at all, and the second is to know which sets offer it.
The checkDo you need petite clubs?
Choose your height in your golf shoes. Height is the starting point the makers use; arm length and posture matter too, which is why a fitter also measures wrist-to-floor.
Choose a height to start.
Size bands are Wilson's published women's size guide: petite 4′11″ to 5′3″, standard 5′3″ to 5′9″, tall 5′9″ to 6′1″. 7-iron lengths are from Cobra's and Tour Edge's spec tables and Callaway's Women's Strata page. For a length worked out from your height and wrist-to-floor, use our club length calculator.
DefinitionsWhat "petite" means at each maker
There is no industry standard, but the makers that sell petite agree on the size of the change: one inch.
- Cobra describes its Women's Fly-XL petite set as configured "-1" under standard," sold as a "Women's Petite (-1")" option.
- Tour Edge offers a "-1"" build of its Lady Edge and Moda sets, with every club exactly an inch shorter than the standard column of its spec table.
- Wilson publishes heights instead of inches: petite 4′11″ to 5′3″, standard 5′3″ to 5′9″, tall 5′9″ to 6′1″. Note that the bands meet at 5′3″, so at exactly that height either could fit.
For scale, a standard women's 7-iron is about 36 to 36.5 inches: 36.25″ on Cobra's Fly-XL and Tour Edge's TE-200, 36″ on Callaway's Women's Strata. The petite Fly-XL and TE-200 7-irons are 35.25″.

The ListFive petite sets, in detail
Cobra Women's Fly-XL Complete Set (cart bag)
The most complete petite set from a major brand. It has a driver, 3-wood and 5-wood, a 5-hybrid, irons from 6 to pitching wedge, a sand wedge, a mallet putter and a cart bag, all with ladies-flex graphite. Cobra's petite build takes an inch off its standard lengths, so the driver drops from 44.5″ to 43.5″ and the 7-iron from 36.25″ to 35.25″. The petite option is right-handed only. It was $999 on Cobra's site on October 25, 2026, with petite available to order.
Tour Edge TE-200 Lady Edge Complete Set
Tour Edge builds the Lady Edge in standard and -1″ lengths, and its spec table shows every club exactly an inch shorter in the -1″ build: a 42.5″ driver and a 35.25″ 7-iron. The set has a 15° driver, which suits slower swings, plus a 3 and 5-wood, a 6-hybrid, irons from 7 to pitching wedge, a sand wedge, a putter and a stand or cart bag, all in L-flex graphite. It was $599.99 on Tour Edge's site on October 25, 2026, and the blue version is offered left-handed and in -1″.
Tour Edge TE-200 Lady Edge Half Set
The same set cut to the essentials: driver, 3-wood, 6-hybrid, 8-iron, pitching wedge, sand wedge and putter, with a stand bag. It comes in a half / -1″ build, right or left-handed, in L-flex graphite. A half set is a sensible way to start: fewer clubs to choose between and a lighter bag to carry. It was $449.99 on Tour Edge's site on October 25, 2026.
Tour Edge TE-300 Moda Complete Set
Tour Edge's step-up women's set, also offered "Minus 1"." It has a 15° driver, a 3 and 5-wood, a 31° hybrid in place of the 6-iron, irons from 7 to pitching wedge, a sand wedge, a mallet putter and a bag, with L-flex graphite and an undersize 47.5-gram grip for smaller hands. In the -1″ build the driver is 42.5″ and the 7-iron 35.5″. It was $799.99 on Tour Edge's site on October 25, 2026. The page lists both hands in its options but says right-hand only in its specs, so confirm before ordering left-handed.
Wilson Women's Profile Complete Set (cart bag)
Wilson sizes its women's Profile set by height, with petite for 4′11″ to 5′3″. The set has a driver, 5-wood, 5-hybrid, irons from 6 to pitching wedge, a sand wedge, a putter and a cart bag. It was $549.99 on sale on Wilson's site on October 25, 2026, down from $599.99, but the petite version (right-handed only) showed as sold out. Check back, or ask a retailer, because it is one of the few petite sets under $600.
Petite is not a different kind of club. It is the same club, one inch shorter.
The other routeShortening a standard set
If the set you want has no petite option, a club fitter or golf shop can cut each club down. Two things change when they do:
- The head feels lighter. Half an inch of length is worth about 3 swing weight points, so an inch off makes the head feel about 6 points lighter. A good shop can add weight to the head to bring it back. Our swing weight chart explains the scale.
- The shaft can play a little firmer. A shorter shaft bends slightly less, so ask the shop whether that matters for your flex.
For a whole new set, buying one that is built petite is usually simpler and cheaper than paying to shorten and reweight eleven clubs.
Also checkGrips, weight and the rest of the fit
- Weight and flex. If your swing has slowed, length is only half of it: golf clubs for senior women covers the lightest shafts, ladies flex and driver loft.
- Grip size. Smaller hands often suit undersize grips, as on the Moda set. See the grip size chart.
- Lie angle. A shorter golfer often needs flatter lie angles as well as shorter clubs. The lie angle chart explains the signs.
- Glove. Women's glove sizes run by hand length.
- Standard-length sets. If the check above puts you in standard, our women's complete set guide compares the main options.
The Last Word
If you are 5′3″ or under, try a petite set before you settle for standard. The choice is small: Cobra's Fly-XL for a full bag from a major brand, Tour Edge's Lady Edge for the lowest price and left-handed options, and Wilson's Profile when the petite version is back in stock. If you are right on the line, hit both lengths before you buy.
FAQQuick answers
What height is petite for golf clubs?
Wilson's women's size guide puts petite at 4′11″ to 5′3″, standard at 5′3″ to 5′9″ and tall at 5′9″ to 6′1″. Cobra and Tour Edge do not publish a height; they simply offer clubs one inch shorter than standard.
How much shorter are petite golf clubs?
About one inch. Cobra's petite Fly-XL is "-1" under standard" and Tour Edge's -1″ sets are exactly an inch shorter in every club, so a 36.25″ standard 7-iron becomes 35.25″.
What are the best petite golf clubs for ladies?
The sets actually sold in petite: Cobra's Women's Fly-XL ($999) for a full set from a major brand, Tour Edge's TE-200 Lady Edge ($599.99, or $449.99 as a half set) for value and left-handed options, Tour Edge's TE-300 Moda ($799.99) and Wilson's Women's Profile ($549.99 on sale, when the petite version is in stock).
Does Callaway make petite women's clubs?
Not in its complete sets on its own site when we checked in October 2026: the Women's Strata 11-piece and Women's REVA 11-piece came in standard women's length only. A club fitter can shorten them.
Are there left-handed petite golf sets?
Very few. Tour Edge's TE-200 Lady Edge complete set (blue) and its half set are offered left-handed in -1″. Cobra's and Wilson's petite versions are right-handed only.
Can I just use junior or women's standard clubs instead?
Standard women's clubs work if they fit you, and many women at 5′3″ or so do fine with them. Junior clubs are usually too light and too short for an adult swing. If standard feels long, petite or a cut-down set is the better answer.
